Back in the lower 48

Sunday morning we left Hope BC heading south towards the US of A.  We crossed the border at Sumas after a short wait.  Lots of vehicles heading into the US.  No problem crossing.

Driving the back roads in Washington state, we travel thru farm land where the corn is tall, lots of hay rolls waiting to be stored for the winter and wild berry plants line the roads.  Intermittent rain seems to be following us from BC.

Our home for the next week is at a Thousand Trails park in Blaine.  After getting settled and a quick lunch, we head out to see the “Bay”.  Actually this park is located between two bays, Birch Bay and Drayton Harbor.  To the North  is Surrey, BC.

Looking around Blaine, we quickly decide that if we want any groceries we need to head to Bellingham which is about a half hour south.  Back at the park, it’s time to kick back and relax for a few days, catch up on laundry and visit with other campers.
