Found several near the fish hatchery.
Checked weather at lunch time, rain for the next 7 days. Time to head out. Couldn’t find one reading “Leaving Valdez” so this will have to do.
One last look back toward Valdez from Thompson Pass and the road ahead.
Got all the way to Chitina, 124 miles. Camped next to the Copper River in the Wrangell-St Elias National Park. Glorious sun for the rest of the day!
